- My 10 PMUs (=almost all my transoceanic travel can be upgraded without using miles)
- The 1.5 MQM credit on those fares
- transoceanic upgrades on DL metal are more readily avaiable than on NW metal (being Platinum elite in both SkyMiles and Flying Dutchman)
- conversion of 500-mile-upgrades into miles (=additional miles required to upgrade the rest of my transoceanic travel not covered by the PMUs)
