I may be in a different situation than the rest of you.

I do not travel for business, only for leisure...maybe 5-6 trips a year, and 2 of those international, all with my wife. Travel is split between British Air, Air Tran, and Delta. We strictly use miles for award tix and not upgrades. We usually plan trips far enough in advance to secure award seats with little problem on DL.

That being said, considering the changes to the program, I am happy that the cheap fares still get full milegae credit. When British Air recently changed its program, the cheap fares went to 25% of miles flown. So, I figure it could have been worse with Delta.

My use of the SM prgram is relatively simple and for my needs, I have been satisfied.

It is sad that this forum has turned into a battleground lately. As suggested, SSM should have its own forum, to include the people who post here just to say they left DL. However, I completely understand the frustration of some people with the program in its current state.
