A slightly belated welcome to FlyerTalk! HOU is also my 'home airport' and now that they've got the 'new' terminal pretty much finished, it's not bad at all.
I've found the WN service to be as good as it ever was (most of the time). The other day my outbound was delayed quite a while (about 35-40 min0 waiting for an inbound flight from LAX to arrive. Last connection of the night and they wanted to accomodate the pax. The pilot deserved to get a speeding ticket. We hit the gate at FLL about 6 min late. ^
