I too, stayed at a NOLA property last week - the Courtyard on St. Charles. When I checked in, the front desk clerk remarked that there were only 11 rooms booked that evening.

The property itself was fine and I got a nice corner room. (Don't koow if that was an upgrade or not.)
I strolled past the Pere Marquette and peeked in. It has reopened, but the Rene Bistrot restaurant is still under construction. The lobby, which used to be very chic-modern, suffered flood damage and is now painted in less-chic neutral tones and a makeshift bar/restaurant occupies much of the lobby space. I hope they finish the restoration as this was my favorite NOLA property.
