What an arse - does he not appreciate that some people in the service industry might actually take professional and personal pride in what they do, and that the smile might be related to this?
The majority of those 'thought of the day' pieces, when I infrequently catch them, strike me as being pious for pious's sake, and rarely stike a chord.
