Dear Molton Brown,

I'm writing to tell you how extremely disappointed I am with two of
your products.

Firstly, I have several 300ml bottles of the Naran Ji Fine Liquid
Handwash which I have been using daily for quite a while. I've never
had a problem with it in the past until recently. I use it as it is
kinder to my skin than ordinary soap.

However, during the past few weeks, I've noticed that the skin on my
fingertips has started to peel into tiny craters. I don't suffer from
Eczema or any other skin disorder - I've been using your fine liquid
handwashes for over 12 months and have never had a problem in the
past. It is only recently I have started to experience problems with
your product. The skin on my hands is fine, it is just the area around
the fingertips which is peeling. This is the main area of my hands
which comes into contact the most with the handwash. Also, I have been
using the handwash much more frequently these past few weeks than I
have done so in the past.

I use several Molton Brown bath and shower gels in the shower which are
perfectly fine. I take quick showers once a day, I don't go swimming
or have any contact with water for a prolonged length of time. My skin
isn't dry, the handwash does moisturise my skin satisfactorily, so
that isn't a problem.

Another (minor) complaint I have with the Naran Ji product is the fact
that it has changed colour from a light yellow to a dark yellow after
a period of time in the bathroom. Many of your bottles are clear
see-through and I was not aware that they should be stored out of
direct sunlight - it might be helpful if you would consider advising
this on your bottles.

Secondly, your Ultrasmooth coco der mer body lotion hasn't had any
effect with my problems. I have started using it for several weeks now
and I am still experiencing problems with the skin on my fingertips.
It really hasn't done anything to help.

I'm really disappointed with these two Molton Brown products. Since
being introduced to Molton Brown after sampling your products on
British Airways, I often buy your fine liquid handwashes - both the
Naran Ji and Rose Granati - as gifts to family and relatives, as well
as for myself and have always considered your handwashes excellent
products. I still do consider many of your other bath and shower
products of high quality and will continue to purchase them in the
future. However, I am rather reluctant to purchase your handwash
products again as I have lost confidence in them.

I still have half a bottle left of the Naran Ji which I won't be
finishing and also a full unused bottle of the same which I had
considered giving to a relative but have now decided not to.
