Does this attract BA Miles, and Tier points. I am assuming that the trip will all be with One World.

I am thinking of mostly Far East and Pacific stops.

I would appreciate any input, that confirms the One World RTW is good value, and the tier points, gained...

Mt Marriott will be giving me the hotels.......Platinum card, and 345,000 points.

Thanks in advance.

RTW are extremley good value. If you are flexible about where you want to start your journey. The ex-UK and ex-US proices are on the steep side; however, ex-CAI, IST or CMB are amonst the cheapest. WAW was a good bet but that has now increased.

I've done two oneworld RTWs. An ex-JNB in F and ex-WAW in J. The ex-JNB bubble burst about 3 years ago. I paid around £2600 for my ticket. Last year I paid £2900 for my ex-WAW RTW.

The OW forum as linked to by G-BOAC will give you lots of advice. There is an overall limit of 20 sectors regardless of whether you purchase. You get 4 segments included for each continent (plus the in and out flights) although you can buy 2 additional segments so long as you don't exceed the total of 20. However, you cannot purchase additional segments in your continent of origin.

A rather lengthy trip report of my ex-WAW RTW is HERE.

Total tier points earned was 1900 and total mileage 83,815. I was already Silver (down from Gold from previous RTW) so went up to Gold.
