Well, definitely don't buy a cheap electric. You will hate it, and go back to blades. Walmart sells $25 electrics. I had one in college, and it was trash.
I noticed one of the higher-end Norelco wet razors at my Costco a month ago or so. That's what I use: it's about 6 years old now and still working fine, although I don't get two weeks out of one charge. More like four days. Most of my business trips are short, so that's fine. When it gets to the point where it won't hold a charge for more than 2 shaves, I'll replace it.
How often do the blades need to be replaced / oiled?
I replace mine about once a year. I clean & oil about once every 2-3 months.
Are the wet ones that much better of a shave or are they that much more convenient? I'll start to check out some of the recommendations here - thanks for the thoughts amigos - Keep them coming!
I find that it's a good shave. I like the wet shave and the lotion packets that you can load into the wet razors. But I know guys that think a wet shave is a totally foreign concept - I'm not sure one is necessarily better than the other.
