Okay you've opened a can of worms. One razor for one person isn't always the best for another. You really have to look at what kind of facial hair you grow before you can select a suitable electric razor. Before I get into it, I feel like I need to put in a disclaimer. I've found that overall traditional razors do tend to shave closer, but after a few days your facial hair grows back thicker than before and sharper than before. An electric, abeit not shaving as close, over time tends to have softer more thin stubble. This is not a scientific observation, but what happens with me. Regardless of which path you choose, I'd say give it a FEW weeks before you decide which way to stay permanantly (electric vs razor)

That being said, there are two types of razors.

1. Circular type (Spinning heads a'la Norelco style)
2. Mesh Style (Mesh a'la Remington)

I've found that if have LOTS of facial hair, i.e. stubble by noon or look like a gorilla in the AM, I'd say go with a Mesh. If you just shave once a day or every other day, go with a circular electric. Remember after you shave to always lotion or razor burn will occur. I personally use a Norelco (I shave once a day and would consider my stubble to grow (slower than average), with a thin layer of lotion before I shave (I get a better shave). Afterwards, I just throw on some lotion.

Good Luck and remember that you'll probably need to shave for a few weeks for your skin to get used to the razor and for the best results.

Cheers!
