I'm looking at the Y and J fares from Vancouver and it looks like the cost of 3 Y seats is the rough equivalent of 1 J seat plus the BATCAT.
Is it comfortable enough in the J cabin with a bassinet to not have a separate seat for the little nugget? Or would you go with the 3 middle seats in Y?
thanks for any advice!
Fermat, if you know for sure you will be on the Intl Config 767, then yes 2 J. If you are going to Maui, or HNL on the flight that does not continue to SYD, you will be on the nasty Dom Config 767. If you are on the Dom 767, I would seriously consider 3Y.
With the Intl, the seat is wider and reclines enough, the baby can lie beside or on you, you can get semi comfortable. This cannot happen on the Dom 767. If you are on the Dom 767, I would take baby's car seat and strap it into a Y seat, and you sit by him/her.
The bassinet will be too small for the 10 month little nugget, unless it is small little nugget!
I realise you mentioned 763 in your post, however, I have read on FT many times that people have difficulty booking the 763 to HNL only.
