cplate2775, this is nothing new. This is one of UA’s computer glitch. It has happened to me more than several times. When you log into united.com to your e-upgrade summary. Most likely you will see your ICN/NRT is still in reserve. What you need to do is to call MP and explain to them that you were not upgraded. They will ask you to wait 72 hours after your ICN/NRT segment. If your SWU does not get credited back to your account automatically, then you need to call them back. S/he will write it up and forward it to the appropriate department. Someone will verify your flight and manually credit your SWU back into your account. It is not lost. It is stuck in UA’s computer system.
