Check the settings on the card & connection - reset to default.
download and install "network stumbler."
Check all visible access points - see what conflicts there are.
Reconfigure your router (home) to a non conflicting channel - or make sure that it auto-detects (if available)
Check the power settings on your router - make sure it's "max"
Make sure that your SSID is not defaulted, and does not conflict with any other nearby AP's (from Network Stumbler).
You may have a hardware problem... loose connection to the antenna, for example.
