Earlier in the year I was booked for BUR-DFW-JFK-DFW-SEA all in one day. The flight to JFK was delayed and I would have missed my connection back to DFW.

It was noted as an 'involuntary reroute' and I ended up just flying BUR-DFW-SEA. One call to AAdvantage customer service and I got all the qualifying miles plus status bonus for my originally booked routing. The perfect mileage run!
