I have to go to Capetown early September and wonder, what would be best:

a) FRA-CPT on SA in BIZ
versus
b) FRA-JNB on LH in F to JNB-CPT on SA in BIZ

and

c) CPT-FRA on SA in BIZ
versus
d) CPT-JNB on SA in BIZ to JNB-FRA on LH in F

Time of arrival is not really an issue for a) versus b). Downside for a) is no FCT service in FRA and no arrival service in CPT. Upside is shorter flight time. Is it worth flying via JNB, in particular as a HON with the arrival services?

For departure I will probably decide for the d) option, because I have a last presentation on a Wednesday morning and so could easily take a afternoon flight to JNB and the nightflight to FRA. Goind with SA means to stay for another night and so loose a full day.

Less HON miles on SA is not an issue, I will have more than enough to requalify with all my other travels.

Any thoughts from the frequent South African flyers?
