Abandoning Trip Midway Due to Missed Connection

Did a search on this but couldn't find an answer. Hope you AA experts can help me.

This weekend, I was taking advantage of the cheap ATL-MAN fares and the DBL06 promo to do a quick summer MR. My routing was ATL-STL-BOS-MAN-ORD-STL-ATL. I was doing a straight turn in MAN, arriving Sunday am and departing a few hours later to get me back into ATL on Sunday evening.

The STL-BOS flight was delayed and got into BOS after the MAN flight had departed. The only other transatlantic flight still to leave that evening was an LHR one which was overbooked and looking for bump volunteers. As I had to be back in ATL on Sunday evening, I had no option but to abandon the transatlantic hop; the AA agent was very helpful in rebooking me BOS-ORD-ATL for the following morning and annotating my PNR with what had happened.

However, she didn't know whether I was entitled to a refund or whether I could get miles as per my original booking.

Before I phone the EXP desk, I'd really like to know where I stand. Ideally I would like full mileage for the transatlantic flights and am less concerned about a refund.

Is this possible? Any terminology I should use?
Should I ask for the UK taxes back?
Presumably the EVIP that I was using on the MAN-ORD flight will go back into my account?

Thanks
