"Secondary" airport closer to the city center
In some cities, the "secondary" airport is closer to the city center than the "main" airport.
Houston is one example (HOU is closer than IAH). Chicago is another (MDW is closer than ORD).
Since the "secondary" airports tend to be filled with "low cost" carriers (like Southwest, JetBlue, AirTran, etc.), doesn't that give the "low cost" carriers an inherent advantage over the other carriers, at least for passengers going to the city center?
