I'm not trying to go OMNI on you. I just want to "correct" a common misperception about the Bay Area.

...and for the record, I love living here generally, and I am particularly proud of the Bay Area's attitude toward homosexuality.
Ha ha -- good point. There are "conservative ghettos" like the Marina.

I lived in Berkeley for 2 years, and while you are correct that there is definitely visible mistrust of conservative views and even some intolerance, it will always be followed up by group hug when all parties realize how wonderful it is that we can both have contrary views yet respect for each other. (I'm only half sarcastic)
