No need to walk above ground in the NYC heat. Just take the Eighth Avenue
line "A" or "C" to 59th Street and Columbus Circle and transfer to the "D" on the same platform. Alternatively, if you want to cool off, you can take the "A" all the way to 125th Street and transfer to the "D" on the same platform. Have fun!
It's been years since I've used the 59th Street/Columbus Circle subway station in the summer time, but it used to be nasty hot to use. Is it better in the summer now?
