I think that makes sense, based on the info on the earlier elevator problem on the ORD-HKG (or vice versa?) route. I believe one of the posters stated that the second meals are stored in the UD galley and the brought down after the first meal, so it would make sense that the UD was able to get it's second meal. Sounds like the elevator stopped working during the flight.
