In my experience, being a PM on DL has NO meaning to the good folks of AF; on two occasions, I have been bumped by AF flying a full-fare Y ticket in countervention of their agreement. Delta apologizes but admits that they have persistant problems getting AF to recognize DL elites. I don't know if DL exacts its revenge on AF elites; I'd like to think they wouldn't, but ground staff relationships between the carriers are dismal. Both sides talk a lot of trash. Good luck.
