This should give you a godo idea of the location fo the two airports. Linate used to be Milan's main airport before MXP was built. It's a small airport from which it is very easy to reach the city.

Not a while ago, because of some kind of strike (not uncommon in italy), Italian newspapers reported that people actually walked to Linate airoprt from downtown!
