I had a regretable experience with miles not being processed for upgrades, and the whole procedure took 6 months.
In the end after continually telling me that "everything was/has been sorted out, they said they knew nothing about it!!!!!!!!!!!!"
First thing I would do is get clarification that TG have RECEIVED your letter and are working on it.
Obtain the name of the person handling your file.
Keep the pressure on them. If you have any problem, put it immediately in writting to Head Office and cc MEL.
I am very happy now with TG, (they bribed me) , and I make sure that every flight is correctly processed prior to departure/ticketing.
