The distances that I "know" are based on the miles that I have previously received for flights. That might not be the same as the actual distances, correct?

No stopovers in London or Chicago. So how do I find out the distance between HEL and YYZ or DTW and YYZ?

I'd appreciate a link to a calculator since I didn't find anything in the OW award sticky.

With some good luck, this routing would be slightly less than 9000 mi making it a good use of 80k mi.

I make HEL-YYZ-DTW-JFK-HEL at 8953 mi, so under the wire. If AA disagrees it won't be by much.
