CZ's business class across the pacific is on their 777 from LAX to CAN and it is about as good as EVA's economy deluxe product. I would never willingly fly this again after flying on this plane from CAN to PEK in biz class I was very upset that I paid the extra 100 bucks for upgrading myself because their C class is horrible on the 777.
That being said they do have lie flat seats installed on business class on the A330 that they fly from CAN-AMS so perhaps they are going to be getting better soon. I'm sure their service will still stink though, after all it is mainland china!
After recently flying Air China, PEK-CAN and SZH-PEK, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised since I had set expectations so low for economy class.
Food was served and the flight attendants were friendly, helpful and constantly going thru the cabin. Far better than some American crews I have encountered.
However, it never ceases to many Chinese passengers push, shove and ignore flight directives.
