[QUOTE=NBSPGMEMBER]We're going to Burlington, Vermont and planning to stay at the Sheraton. Is this place better since the renovations? QUOTE]

Actually, it is much better now that they've destroyed the old bathrooms and installed much nicer ones --- granite counters, cool fixturing, etc, and got rid of the 1983 wallpaper! I was just there last week and, step by step, they're doing a good job.

I would never call this a top ten Sheraton, but I would recommend it to anyone without hesitancy. As a Plat, I am always preassigned to a club room and the lounge attendants (evening and morning) are very long term employees --- the senior one has been there for 19 years!!!! That makes a difference, too.

Eons ago, when I was a gold member, I was always assigned to nice rooms, as well, but never the club floor.

The interior design of this hotel is, sadly, very 1979ish. By that I mean, there are lots of pale brick lined fountains and planters -- this is what every shopping mall interior looked like 30 years ago! The central area where the restaurant and bar are located is in a vast enclosed space with lots of plants and fountains (see above) and will always look dated until they spend huge bucks to rework it all. They just don't create spaces like this anymore.

Regardless, I can't imagine anyone not rating this at least a 7 out of 10 in terms of total hotel offerings. That equates to a solid B in my book. I've certainly been in far worse Sheratons in my day. Stay here with confidence. You won't be wowed, but you won't be disappointed either.
