Do Not Check In Online Unless You Have A Printer?
I had a flight, LAX to LAS on 6/26/06, which I checked in online on 6/25/06. I didn't have access to a printer, so I figured that I would print my boarding pass at the easy chicken when I arrived at the airport on the 26th.
I arrived an hour early, but easy chicken wouldn't let me check in. I tried twice to do it, but it said to pick up the phone. Well, the phone didn't work, I tried three of them, so I spoke with someone directing which lines to stand in, and she said that I had to go to the ticket counter and speak with someone there.
To make a long story short, after standing in line for 2 1/2 hours and missing my flight, the lady at the counter said that I shouldn't check in online if I don't have a printer because when I try to check in at easy chicken, it already shows that I checked in and will not print a boarding pass. While standing by for a flight, I went to the customer service counter and asked if that was true, and that lady said the same thing.
Is this true? I'm wondering because several of the easy chickens went down while I was using them, so I thought that they might be making an excuse.
