It's not really bait and switch, but by not stating what model is at that price, they don't have to have any at all when you get there. Sorry, sold out of those, but we have this at a few dollars more.

In the states where they don't have to issue rain checks, it lets them offer a sale and not have any at all of something, and it's virtually impossible to prove, and it makes comparison shopping impossible.
