My Garmin Legend Color C reportedly can go 36 hours on a pair of batteries (low brightness and no sound). It's a huge advancement from the original Legend.

The Garmin Legend Color C also does auto-routing. There was a time that Target was clearancing out these units for a measly $49-$99 since the new Color CX came out. Personally, I really like the Legend Color C. 24MB maps, nice color screen...

I mounted mine with the old auto mount right next to my speedometer so it also makes a nice "in-dash" unit that I can pop right out to head to the nearest geocache.
