No, that's not true... even as a couple it is an issue - the seats are inter-leaved.
If you travel as a couple in seats next to each other (as is the logical choice), i.e. 61A and 61B. Then 61A has to jump over 62B's legs to get out (not 61A's legs) and 60A has to jump over 61B's legs.
So, if you are a little short and a little clumsy (like me

), it will always be SOMEONE ESLE'S shins that you kick as you try to get out of your window seats (and not the shins of your beloved). That is why 64 and 62 still appeal to couples...
