Number #1 in Tripadvisor, but not #1 in our experience

We stayed at this hotel for one night, and while clean and convenient (in a good location, albeit quite difficult to find) it was more cramped than charming. Our room (in the back, as requested based on advice from a Tripadvisor posting) barely had room for the less-than-heavenly bed and luggage; the sink was in an 18" deep curtained alcove, the shower (no bathtub) was barely 2.5 feet square, and there was no place to store the luggage (leading to a challenging route to the toilet in the middle of the night). The staff WERE very nice and gave us a terrific restaurant recommendation, but if you need help with your luggage don't wait for the bellperson to help; there isn't one.

All in all, for E97 including a decent but unremarkable breakfast for 2 - and it wasn't high season in Innsbruck because school was still in session - this was fair value but not an experience I'd repeat. There are certainly better hotels in Innsbruck, and my guess is that (given the wealth of knowledge on this board) there are probably better values too.
