On a related note, if I ever have to pop the exit door, it is going out the door onto the ground, not onto the seat as the they instruct on the safety card..
I wonder why they don't want it out the door, other than hitting someone on the ground...
The thing I could NEVER understand about that whole 'lay the door across the seat' thing was that the armrests in the exit rows don't move, so rather than 'laying' the door across the seats one would actually be trying to BALANCE a 50+ pound door on its side on the armrests & not have it either slide on the floor, thus blocking the egress, or fall over on someone as they are trying to exit.
