If the company was a bit more nimble, they may find value in paying for redemption bookings (even out of your own account) on a discounted basis. But that's not going to happen here.

Personally, unless I were already well vested in SK, I'd go the BMI route and credit the LX flights to BMI's Diamond Club, pick up a BMI credit card and enjoy a good premium cabin redemption flight on the relative cheap -- by using the cash + miles redemption option.
