Going down the mileage redemption option -- especially if you can get your hands on AA miles -- seems not to be a desired option for the OP. (c. 4-5 cents of value per AA mile is a pretty good redemption value.)

Swiss flights can be credited to SK's program and to a variety of other Star Alliance member airlines' frequent flyer programs. Some, say BMI for example, even have double mile promotions running for flights on Swiss.
