If you think CO and NW aren't, at most, 12 months away (and maybe only days away) from mirroring UA, AA, and now DL's policies regarding F upgrades for high-level elites, you have a blind spot the size of a Mack truck in your thinking.

It is very possible for a Platinum to spend $10,000 or less on 90 CO or NW segments (to re-qualify for Plat) and ride on almost every one of them in the F cabin. That corresponds to an average
$444 ticket price for a first-class RT. Nice, but simply not sustainable.
