I was surprised and annoyed at their response to my problem. So, they've lost a customer. I'll never buy a Tumi product. In fact, I've purchased several suitcases since then and did not consider Tumi.
That's interesting. I've suffered a similar problem with the hook on the strap of the aforementioned laptop bag. It has cut into the lining on the inside and worn away part of the leather on the outside. Not good.
