Irrespective of what is printed on your BP if you are an AA elite you are currently allowed the use the First secuirty line.
Done so many times as recently as mid May and I have been advised as such by the AA counter staff.

Now that the AA ground level machines are in place I cannot think of any reason to use the second level machines.
