BORED in Laguna? You are rather isolated at the RC, but just a short drive noth to town, Newport Beach & Balboa Island, or south to San Clemente.

Ok, now that we know you have an 8 year old with you - the live music & dancing didn't indicate you'd be interested in places good for an 8 year old. I kindof question Tabu - it's a teeny little very adult place with pretty good, not stellar food. I'm not saying it's inappropriate to take an 8 year old there, I just think she would be bored & have never seen a kid there in a couple of visits. It might be fun to try & sit at the chef's counter there for more entertainment.

If you'd like places that are good food & where an 8 year old will not be bored, let us know & maybe then can help a little more.
