Yeah.... but driving is NO FUN.....

and how do you expect to make Platinum Elite if you spend your leisure time driving to vacation destinations.

anyway, I only go to Vegas for Vegas --- if I want NY, London, Venice or Scottsdale, I rather hop on a plane and visit the real thing --- heck this is FlyerTalk.. getting there is half the fun.

BTW, the whole East Coast is only a bit over "4 hours" from LA; by plane.
