I joined Sofitel Privilège earlier this year and since have had ~14 nights stay with another 14 on the near horizon. Not really sure what the benefits are. I did get a spiffy luggage tag on my last stay.

What I do know is that service is slow.....
I joined on-line as I recall. I did not get a number upon registering, it took several weeks to mail my card from France (missed 5 nights worth of stays in the meantime which if I had saved receipts could have claimed )

A recent press release quotes the Sofitel folks saying that they will completely re-vamp the program by the end of 2006 because:

“The Sofitel privilege card programme, for instance, was conceived in Europe and is geared more towards the European Sofitel customer.

“Growth of the Asian Sofitel customer was not anticipated, so the programme is ‘Europe-centric’. "

Brilliant forecasting.

that all said, I always have a great stay at Sofitel. ^
