Bellagio Penthouse Review etc

Just stayed at Bellagio Penthouse. A few things. When I called Amex I asked for Water/Fountain view. Rep said no problem.

Got to hotel and they gave me a terrible view of the back of building. Called downstairs to manager. She told me to take a hike. She told me that she reserves the worst rooms for AMEX Platnium . She told me NEVER a fountain view. It was my wifes Bday so I was pissed. Called AMEX to complain. They told me it was bad info from the AMEX rep and they would pay the 127.50 a night extra for the water veiw if available. We went and spoke to a different front desk manager. VIP services did not impress me at all.

FHR Benefits
Got 2 passes for the gym ($50.00 value)
2 Continental Breakfast for 2 (Value $30.00 ea.) They charge $7.00 for Oj in the cafe!
One SPA credit for merchandise ($25.00)
Late Checkout-I did not use this

I was happy to get fount view. Not thrilled with my first experience with the AMEX plat travel team for giving me the wrong info initially.

Bellagio Penthouse was big but had old VCR, and cheapo $200.00 color tvs. Not what you wuld expect in a room that goes to high rollers and can cost up to $800.00 a night or more. I go to Wynn next time. Wynn has plasma tvs in regular rooms. I guess MGM doesnt care. Rooms had an older feel and could use some fresh furnishings etc.

Bellagio also gave me great service in the past. I found VIP services to be lacking and the first mgr I spoke to was a real pill. I have only stayed in regular rooms in the past and been treated nicely.
