Who would object if...

If the check in kiosks were modified so that, if you are denied your boarding pass there for security reasons, then you got a slip entitling you to use the premier line or, if no premier line, go to the front of the regular ticketing line?

The slip would also have passenger information and time and date on it to prevent misuse.
