Why bother polling the ones flying AA,UA, CO, DL, or NW?
Well, there are two sides to the coin. Certainly you should poll current Southwest fliers to make sure you won't lose too many of them if you switch to assigned seats. But Kelly said the reason to switch to assigned seats was to pull in additional customers. These are presumably folks who are currently flying AA, UA, CO, DL, NW, etc. So you need to poll them too.
