Why bother polling the ones flying AA,UA, CO, DL, or NW?
What people say vs do is not always the same. Many on this board said they would not fly WN after the cap. controls went into effect along with the 1x credit per segment (BIZ were getting 2x). Some of those did defect, but many still fly WN. Maybe because they have a CP or the cap. controls were not as bad as expected or for other reasons.
I think polling legacy fliers is to get those not flying WN now to get them to switch. A perfect time would be to go after those that face a negative decision (to them). Such as the decision of NW to get people to pay for premium seat assignements. That is the ideal time to target NW fliers with an incentive such as: Send in a copy of your NW Elite statement and get 2x credits on WN for 3 months.
