OTOH, some obfuscation can be good. It forces people to be interested enough to do thorough reading if planning a RTW trip. Additionally, a downside of making things too explicit is that people who don't bother doing the research will just apply steps 1,2,3 and then complain because of semi-spurious reasons. This forum is of a much different nature to others, most of the people here know their stuff - I hope that it doesn't get "dumbed down". Finally, I worry that the airlines will change more things if too many people start doing some of the things here - the latest example of this is the demise of CAI as a RTW startpoint. Techniques here aren't scalable to every traveller in the world unfortunately.
