Just saw that Atlantis is offering a 7 day cruise of the Hawaiin Islands next April Hawaiin Islands Cruise - 23-30 April

Anyone ever been on an Atlantis Cruise?

We'll be celebrating our 10th Annivesary in May 2007, and usually visit the Islands during our Anniversary month (we were married on Little Makena Beach back on 25 May 1997) (sigh)... ;-)

We never taken a cruise before (but have done our fair share of cruising... another topic) - and am interested in hearing feedback (both good and bad) on what it's like to be on an Atlantis Cruise (where basically - they block the ship and it becomes a floating gay palace for the duration of the trip).

It looks like the ship for the Hawaiin Islands trip will be NCL's Pride of Hawaii. I've heard horror storys about the poor customer service on the ship over the past 2 years. Apparently - since the ship is US registered (not a foregin flag based) - most of the help are US service type employees - not the typical foreign folk who are used to giving good service, as well as dealing with cruise ship short turn-arounds. I've read some reviews on cruisecritic that have really given me pause for thought.

Thus - the query to the FT folks - interested greatly in your experiences with all gay cruise trips.
