I do not drink alcohol at all and I gamble very very lightly. My sister and I go every year and we look forward to it so much. Everyone has their own reasons why they love Vegas, so please do not assume that everyone thinks like you do when it comes to the gaming scene! Four Seasons is 5 star resort comfort on the Strip. The Ritz in Lake Las Vegas is pretty swanky too. LOVE EM BOTH!
I appreciate your opinion, BUT
why do you need a So. Cal's Scottsdale AZ when you have a Scottsdale AZ ?
and why do you need a NYC of the West when you have NYC ?

Don't get me wrong. I love Vegas --- but, I will never understand why people can't just appreciate Vegas for what Vegas IS.

Sort of the same way you appreciate NYC, London, Paris and Venice what what they are.

The only reason why Vegas is what it is today is because of the gaming; and the interest in gaming around the world. Yes, Vegas has done a fine job of leveraging and extracting major $$$ from the non-gaming folks; but in the end, it is the gaming that supports much of what has been developed in Vegas. (and BTW, I am personally opposed to much of this expansion of gaming... but, that is another topic entirely)
