I would second that opinion. As I posted in another IB thread somewhere, we have found great difficulty communicating in Spain - including in 5* hotels (eg Alfonso XIII in Seville) - and, between us, my partner and I speak French, Italian, German, Dutch and of course English. Only Spanish seems to work and that is why we are taking a crash course before our Xmas trip to HAV (on IB of course!)
