Even if they were to extend our elite status for another year as some of the airlines did after 9/11, that would not help the GM's when it came down to upgrading. Four 500-mile segments per 10k miles does not take you very far. The program still is the worst in the US for mid-tier elites. There really is no reason for GM's to continue flying on DL.
