I think it's possible to have the miles (but not tier points) go into BAEC whilst at the same time accruing status miles within CX's MPC:

Yes. If you reside in the United Kingdom or Europe, you have the option of crediting FFP mileage for qualifying air travel to British Airways Executive Club rather than Asia Miles, whilst crediting your Club status miles / sectors to The Club.*

*FFP credits from British Airways Executive Club are not eligible for Executive Club elite status.
I don't think it's possible the other way round ?
