Instead of dealing with the HHonors desk, I simply called AMEX, sent them the folio for my room, and asked that they contest the charge. Done. I don't think just b/c the property billed me twice due to computer error or employee error I was entitled to anything (and my time is valuable, as is everyone else's on this board).
